As a young person living and working in the Mountain State, it’s easy to feel outnumbered.
You’re not alone in trying to figure out what “adulting” looks like. You’re not alone in loving West Virginia, despite seeing friends and colleagues move away. And you’re not alone in wanting to create a better future for our beloved state, even if you don’t know exactly where to start.
To help connect young people across the state, we’ve created UpThink – a new email series designed by young people for young people around topics that matter to us.
UpThink is a project of Generation WV, the state’s leading nonprofit working to attract and retain young talent in the Mountain State.
With a new UpThink email sent out every week, you can expect everything from tips for finding a new job to stories from young people working in West Virginia’s towns. In case you miss an UpThink, you’ll be able to head to Generation WV’s blog to see all of the archived UpThink articles.
We hope that UpThink helps to inspire our state’s young movers and shakers to keep working toward a better future for West Virginia.
There’s great power in knowing you’re not alone. UpThink will serve as a uniting force, a conversation starter, a support network, and a virtual classroom.
