Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival

Thursday – Sunday – Martinsburg

The 37th Annual Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival is underway across the Eastern Panhandle.

Beginning with the Royal Gala Thursday, the festival continues with long standing traditions like the Coronation of Queen Pomona Friday and the Apple Trample 5k Run Saturday morning.

The West Virginia International Film Festival

October 21-30 – Souith Charleston

The 33rd annual Fall Film Festival at The LaBelle Theater on Oct. 21st through Oct. 30th. We have chosen 11 films to feature this Fall, including Academy Award winner (Best Foreign Film, 2015) “Son of Saul”. Additionally, several of our features will include conversations with the director (“Sex and Broadcasting”, “Mike Morningstar: Here’s To The Working Man”) or discussions facilitated by sponsoring organizations (“The Hunting Ground”, “How to Let Go of the World”, “Son of Saul”, “Carol”).

Historic Ohio Valley Ghost Tales

Saturday 2PM – Moundsville

Storyteller and Weelunk.com contributor Rich Knoblich tells tales of mystery and suspense centered around the lower Wheeling District and into Marshall County. Knoblich has won multiple Liars Contest awards at the Vandalia Festival held each spring in Charleston by the West Virginia Division of Culture and History.
